This installation imagines a boundless, sacred space inspired by ancient coastal caves in Southeast Asia. The work merges my body with landscapes shaped by geological and ancestral time. Sculptures are made from recycled materials, family objects, and found items.

A textile canopy hangs from the ceiling, with beaded and fabric tendrils extending downward. On the floor are island-like forms made from used astroturf, along with vessel-like sculptures shaped to match parts of my body. Wall works reference constellations used in ancient navigation.

The installation reflects on ancestry, migration, and the idea of the body as something dispersed across places and time. It draws from research into cave burial sites, maritime trade routes, and celestial navigation in the Philippines.

This exhibition took place at Rachel Uffner Gallery.
